A friend of mine has a friend/page that asked "basically what will people do when the marching has ended?" He did not mention the Trayvon Martin Case! But me being the Sammi and I believe in freedom of Xpression... I used my brain aka deductive reasoning came up with the Trayvon Martin Marching" that have been going on.
And came up with 2+2 = 189 (Ahhh Propaganda!)
What you are about to read is My Truth!
Since he had mention the civil rights movement and marching and asking the question what you gonna do when you not mad no more. Kind like the people in power are waiting for us to go back to not giving a schitt about each other. (SO THEY THINK!)
His question was mad validate… I hoping that Trayvon Martin is our Rosa Parks to get us upset where we think “wait a second it is 2012 and it is still not okay for me to be black WTF! My men and children are not longer safe…. Nawl this is not going down… what will it take to keep yawl on fiyah type of question.
You might not like or agree with my thoughts, but that has never stopped me from saying how I feel… I told yawl before no stunt doubles will be used in the making or sharing of my thoughts…
Wobbles to my soap box and mic and spits:
The civil rights movement was just that “a movement,” they did not just have one march... They had a bunch. They kept going to every event to show support for people of color and kept on fighting for the injustices that happen to people of color everywhere...They sent lawyers to help in whatever battle you were having at a local level that took your “basic human rights away.” They also put their life on the line for there convictions. So that You and I their future children could read and write, vote and even walk down the street while being black. What have we as their children done? Did we keep it going?
So instead of asking what is going to happen...
Why not ask yourself what are you willing to do for basic human rights...
–Or!-
What can you do just in the city or town you live in for basic human rights...
–Or!-
Are you just happy to be here cuz you have a job, a home, money, or whatever blah, blah... “Is you happy that masta is happy. (In slave voice)” Should one man or group of people be able to decide you born into sin; because of the color of your skin. Should there be black on black crime? What are you going to do about it so it does not happen in your pond, street or community?
Are you still waiting for white people to accept you?
–Or!–
Are you like white people waiting for “the great white hope?” Are you a person that is waiting for Jesus/God/Allah/Buddha/Higher-Power to come and fix it? So You do nothing, and blame others. Perhaps you are afraid and worry when you step out of your front door; that no one kill you today. That just so happens to be black/white/hispanic/other (Ain’t that about a bitch!)
–Or!–
Are you willing to stand up and keep on fighting for “You, I, Us, and Them?” Ponder who them is?
–Or!–
Is it better to keep the crabs in the barrel syndrome? And just not give a dayum cuz you eating, so to hell with everybody else.
Did you get the memo from heaven that the only approval you need to live and exist on this planet is your own? Thus you do not need freedom. Will you fight for your basic human rights? Do you know why I keep saying “basic human rights” and not civil rights? I dare you to add me and then ask me…
Only you can answer for yourself, and for real our ancestors and the men and women of the civil rights movement were not talkers. They were willing to put it all on the line, even if it would mean they may die? Just for “US” their future babies did you ever once consider how us as the future were to them. Now ask yourself this what kind of legacy do you leave behind for or babies and seeds of the future. Will you give like our ancestors did? Aren’t we as a people worth any effort to fight for the right to live and be???
Even not making a decision for your basic human rights has a cause and effect on the rest of your life, will you die on your knees begging for your life or will you fight for it.
As a woman of the tribe of people that come in ever color or the rainbow;
I am a Human Being! I Too Am An American! AND I DEMAND MY BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS EVEN IF IT MEANS MY LIFE!
Why!
Because I stand on the backs of the men and women who came before me that fought so this seed of their future who is writing to you now, standing on her soap box. “Saying Power to the People!” with her head held high with her Mutha Ph*cking Fist in the Air! Saying “We Want Justice And We Want It Now!”
"I Too Am Trayvon Martin and I Approve This Message!"
Drops Mic and wobbles off…. --- FX
